Lods, Doubs, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté

Using the energy of the Loue river, the residents of this tiny riverside village built thriving iron forges and produced wine in a relatively mild climate. While Lods may no longer produce grapes, it still has its charming 16th- and 17th-century wine-growers’ houses with their spacious vaulted cellars. One of Lods’ most fascinating sights is The Musée de la Vigne et du Vin (vine and wine museum) housed in a beautiful 16th-century building.
