What: A throwback to old school and kitschy Florida, Weeki Wachee offers daily mermaid shows in a natural underground spring that doubles as a theater. The attraction can seem a little threadbare and perhaps in need of a fresh coat of paint, but it's a refreshing change of pace from the bustle of Disney World and tourist traps that line the way from hotel to hotel. You can also take a river boat cruise and try to spot manatees and other wildlife.
